2019 forecast for blockchain technologies

The future looks incredibly bright for all things named "blockchain".  It's so popular now,  that all it takes is a company to put the word "blockchain" on its technical solution, and it's accepted as the best in class.  Critics say that this technology is an over priced spreadsheet with a fancy new name,  but that remains to be proven.  Regardless of the naysayers, this technology is here to stay.  All the major countries including China, Russia, US, and EU have implemented large scale systems in a wide range o industries such as manufacturing, supply chain management, banking and the financial sector.

Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ether, etc.) are  the  (optional) monetary aspect of using a blockchain.  Most of the successfully implmeneted blockchains so far have been on private corporate networks, where security can be tightly controlled.  The future of cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ether,  Ripple, etc) is still not clear.  It appears that adoption will go mainstream when the SEC approves ETF crypto trading, which is predicted to happen soon.
